The inhibitor spray pig applies a corrosion inhibitor to selected problem areas in a high-pressure pipeline, avoiding the cost of bulk inhibitor for the whole pipeline. The corrosion inhibitor is stored in the front and center modules, while high-pressure nitrogen is held in the rear. Nitrogen is required to displace the inhibitor as the pig travels through the pipe. A spray array is attached to the back end of the pig to distribute the inhibitor.
